BattleField 3 FINALLY ANNOUNCED!!!!!

About damn time someone said something about this game, I was so pissed EA said nothing about it.

EA COO John Pleasants did DICE's marketing team no favours today when he let slip that Battlefield 3 is not only in development, but is "looking very good".

Speaking at the William Blair Growth Stock Conference, Pleasants said "I've had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE in Sweden and was highly impressed by the way the team is working on that product. Of course, that's not [coming out] in the fiscal year, but that is a product that is looking very good".

With Bad Company 2, Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield Heroes coming out, could there be such a thing as too much Battlefield?

Yes, yes there can be such a thing as to much battle field. I have 1942 but never played it much more then the DC mod with my friends and bots. Bot stomps were always a good time. My one friend who actually owned BF2 detested it so much that I never decided to play, not that my machine at the time could handle it anyway. BF21...uh... I'm not even sure... wasn't on my list of games to try when I heard the game watched your web browsing to change advertisements in game.

Oh well... We'll see when it comes out it may be worth it...

I should play some DC... Apache bot stomp time!

BF2 was really fun before it became "first one to the jet wins" crap and anyone else just gets bombed. when the game was utlized like it was supposed to and squads worked together listening to the general who protected and helped them it was REALLY fun.

Believe it or not Reign was a good general btw.

I've never owned or played any of the Battlefield games. What is it like a coop strategy shooter? I can say for sure about one thing and that's the fact I hate any flying game.. heck I even hate it when a good game makes you fly anything or even drive things. I prefer to be on foot in games.

It is a Full Battlefield game, you can run in a squad on foot, drive tanks, jeeps boats, jet skis, etc, and fly blackhawk transports, attack helicopters and one man fighter and two man bomber jets. BF2 had 64 player servers (2 teams of 32), which was huge when it came out, and with MAG being 256 player game on a console, I am sure BF3 will contend with those numbers.
You can set up squads and each squad has a leader which you spawn on if you die (so all SS would hop on one squad and work together) and general for each team that can see things from a sat veiw, call in UAVs, air supply drops, and arty strikes to areas. Squad leaders can request each.

yea we have people that were good at all the diff vehicles for BF2, I sukt at the helis and were not good at all with jets but I drove the boats and was the spec ops guy that jumped out of the trucks and heli's and C4'd the enemies arty guns, UAV bunker, and Radio transmitters. lots o fun


Side Note: The Spec Ops expansion was AWESOME!!!! too bad no one played it.
