Doku, the creator of the bad-ass Survival Mod (http://www.l4dmods.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=56:dokus-survival-mod-for-left-4-dead&catid=2:news&Itemid=82), has returned to give us a sneak peak of his next mod, title STALKER Mode. This mod has you battling invisible enemies with a new weapon. Yes, A NEW WEAPON!

Not only will this MOD feature a new weapon, but it will also feature a new enemy, called the STALKER. This enemy is similar to the Hunter, with the major difference being it's invisible. Think Predator invisible, not Hollow Man invisible. The STALKER blurs it's surroundings a bit making it invisible.

The weapon in you can see in these screenshots, is a Pulse Rifle. It will be the only weapon available to play and can be selected from a custom Radial Menu. Check out the detail in the pictures, unbelievable.
Here's the planned feature list:
No common infected
No survivor bots
No specials infected, apart from the 'STALKER'
STALKER made more powerful
STALKERS spawn regularly (can have up to 4 spawn at any time)
Survivors are slower, direction dependant
Only usable weapon is the Pulse rifle
Pulse rifle has 2 fire modes: 10mm automatic rounds and 30mm grenade / pump shotgun
The fire modes can be accessed via the radial menu or with weapon switching.
Unlimited ammo, but still requires reloads (99x10mm rounds, 2x30mm rounds)
Melee swing much less effective with decreased range
No item / survivor glows
Reduced UI, displays only local health (as in my other mods)
Faked Motion tracker to give a rough position and distance of the 'stalkers' - beeps get louder and faster when they are close
No music
Crosshair tweaked
Friendly fire increased significantly - a burst from the rifle can incapacitate a survivor. This is quite a fun feature during the panic moments, I've seen a whole team decimated by uncontrolled firing.
Pulse rifle can be fired whilst incapacitated - only 10mm rounds and with reduced accuracy
Mod difficulty can be tweaked with radio commands. Easy Mode = 1 STALKER, Normal Mode = 2 STALKERS, Hard Mode = 4 STALKERS
First aid kit use time greatly reduced
Revive incapacitated time greatly reduced - allows 'combat res'
