R6 Vegas 2

Well for game night last night, I received R6 Vegas 2 (for $5 from gogamers.com, thank you) and after an annoying install figuring out how to connect, Dr.H and I were playing coop which was pretty good. The initial set up was messed up finding online coop servers, but after we got it to work, it was pretty good. The hosting computer has to controll the 2 AI guys, which only seems useful for sending them to draw fire while we snuch around, other than that they are slow and you keep having to call them like puppies.

There is also a 4 player coop "Terrorist Hunt" mode, so if we have 4 people willing to play it, we can play that. It was fun, much slower than L4D and pretty tactical, but still fun. You need to communicate with what you see to everyone else and plan attacking each room or your dead.

I know Dr.H, Buzzard, Pugilist, and myself all have this game. Who else has it, anyone have it before, or order it when it was $5 when we ordered it?

Now that this game has been around for some time, its cost vs fun factor is really great!

We had a great time playing this last night (Sunday, March 23) in a 4 person co-op terrorist hunt and except for a couple of lag spikes it was a blast. I believe we all agree that the grenade physics are very annoying, especially to those teammates I killed when I thought I was bouncing off one side of the door frame into a room and instead bounced it off another back at us - you just can't run fast enough.

The AI on this game is not horrible and the bloody shot-gunners are deadly if you let them in close.

I did have to reconfigure most of the keys to give me smoother gameplay and I'm not at all happy that you can only climb certain walls and it's annoying when you are on the rope and getting shot and can't choose a fast rope option and to hell with the ankles but I am allowed to have a reflex site AND a silencer so that makes up for a bit.

I'm goging to try to get my LAn party friends to get engaged in this game as well.

Yes last night was a lot of fun. It was Pug, DocHol (even though he "wasn't able" to be on vent), Dr.H and myself. It was nice to communicate and get some good tactics. I liked the fealing of clearing left around the corner and knowing that bodies are droping to my right by the guy that is covering my back. I like telling a guy to go down an alley, because I have high cover and just start sniping oanyone who comes out to get him.

Just fun when a small goup works well together.

Personally I like RSV 6 is better than CoD4, its more about tactics.... And love me some tactics :)

It is a different type of play, and a small 4 man group coop hunting T's with good AI is really fun
