I just have to say, I love our server. It's the best that I've ever found. Sadly the server is empty so I joined some random server. I base my choice on it's low ping as I always did in the past. The server was a 50-something slot so there were A LOT of people so moving around was hard. I quickly noticed something though. There was a player named "a_noob" who was getting these seemingly impossible nade kills. This player did nothing but swap teams, toss a grenade, then swap teams again. I've seen this tactic once before when I pissed off somebody as a sniper but never to this extent (I wouldn't have noticed had I not hit tab to check his score at the same time he was killing me with a grenade. I used his own tactic to get back at him and even once in SS to take out somebody who was glitching). I stated what a_noob was doing and that he should be kicked over chat and nobody seemed to care. After getting no response from any administration I left. His score was 84-4 at that time. It has to be hands down the most unsportsmanlike behavior I have ever seen in COD4

I really don't understand how the "rinse lather and repeat" approach to gaming is any fun. It takes zero skill to do that and where is the satisfaction? I guess it's more of a bully kind of thing. Personally I would rather have the challenge. Isn't that the point of online gaming? I also love the close knit games. Stomping on either side gets boring after a while, although it is therapeutic sometimes.

I think people who use crappy tactics or hacks mainly do it because they get a kick off of annoying people. These people typically have no control in real life so they want some in games. I've luckily never seen this tactic on our server yet because if we did that person would get a fast permiban.

The SS server is great and has some of the best people I've seen in the game compared to other servers but I think we are at the starting point of seeing CoD4 go into a downward slope in terms of players until CoD5 comes out that is.
I think less people are playing the game now and because of the massive amount of servers this game has it is effecting the smaller servers since people love to play those huge number servers for some reason.

LOL I did that once to someone here, I think it was Dr.H when he kept sniping me LOL. never thought of it as a "Tactic", more of a "Dick-Move" really.

I much prefer the smaller servers. Once you get to many people per team it's just a slaughter and you can't have as much fun because there is no room to breath.

It is a "dick move", but if it's all you do then it becomes a "dick move tactic"

So I was playing today. I got stuck behind an AFK player and some barrels. While trying to figure a way out another player runs up, drops a grenade at my feet and immediately swaps teams killing both me and the other guy. This issue really needs to be patched. If one person knows and thinks exploiting it is a good idea then there are bound to be more like them.

Lmao I remember this from CoD 1

I've never done it before. My word on cheaters is the same as Doc's somewhat. They just want to piss ppl off and love the control.

What pisses me off is when cheaters get good at toggling their cheats on and off and try to trick people into thinking their skill. On top of that someone that uses this technique and then boasts about it to get in people's heads.

That's why I never respond out of anger. I rarely ever even talk to people in game. If I do it's usually to counter point their complaining. Some guy complains when I use the M203 I calmly reply he shouldn't camp in the same spot ALL the time. Other then situations like that I tell people when they are breaking rules. Most accept it and stop, others complain and continue on doing it.
