Anyone that has any intreset knows about the running gag with Black Mesa. It is a total redo of the original Half-Life game on the Source Engine. And it pretty much has been taking FOREVER. It is the free mod equivalent of Duke Nukem: Forever.

I've been keeping an eye on black mesa source since I've heard about it. I've played through half life 1 so many times I can't wait to give black mesa source a go. That's the first in game video I've seen and it gave me chills so now I'm excited about it again. For a while I thought it was going to die out and never reach completion.

I'm sooo ready for this mod/remake. It just seems as if we haven't had any good fps story games lately. Most companies have been focusing of multiplayer games with single player story tacked on as an extra. Or they have been making them for console only..

The Half Life One game was suppose to have been a breakthrough in plots, story and game play for its day. I never played it back then and in fact I only tried it once I got it in a HL2 package. By that time the graphics were so dated that I didn't enjoy playing it and only made it to the point where you are on the rail cart shooting those dog things?

Halflife is what really sold me on the FPS genre. I played doom and quake before it but halflife made me just go "wow". I cannot even count the number of times I've played through it and I can probably do so in one siting and one life in my sleep. I can't wait to see what they've done differently.

Wow. I never heard about this until now. I loved HL2. Easily on the short list of amazing game I've played.

Looking forward to this one.
