although an interesting design this rifle packs high rate of fire with lightweight materials that provide for a versatile weapon. I also live within a 20 minute drive from an australian factory that makes them.

At first we could only get a Microtech Copy( STG-556 ) of the Steyr AUG but this year Steyr Arms U.S. site announced that they would finally bring the A3 to the U.S. soon.

If I recall the original version had a few glitches but shortly after worked great and is one of the main rifles of the British army.

Styer has always made awesome guns. The AUG family is some of the coolest looking guns I have ever seen.

I had the pleasure to hold one at the last gun show I went to. The little scope they have on top is nice. I should have spent some more time with it :p

I know what ever version of this they offer in the states now is kinda pricey $3000+. While at the show I think they had some other clones there that were a little more reasonable, maybe like 1/2 the price. I'm not sure what was original and what was clone. Also it's possible that there is another company planing on making clones. Although a very nice fire arm it's not high on my list of guns I need to get. Mostly for the price tag attached to it.
