Normal TDM - hard mode?

So the SS server was empty the other day and I decided to play somewhere else. I found a normal-mode TDM server and I said fine I'll check this out for shits and giggles since I don't think I've played it since I got the game.

Now is it just me or is normal mode a lot harder than hardcore? I did pretty good overall compared to everyone else but I couldn't get much higher than a 1:1 ratio and a couple other guys were killing. The SMGs felt useless and I just felt like I was putting a million bullets into people.

Yeah you get use to Hardcore mode pretty fast. When we first started playing we only played classic mode because we were getting killed in HC games. But then you get use to and start to like HC.
It takes a lot more bullets to kill someone in normal\classic so if your like me and are use to each gun tossing a certain amount of bullets to kill someone and then moving on to the next person you will find in classic that you only damaged and didn't kill so when you turn the person you were shooting kills you.

So I wouldn't say harder just different. Someone will that plays only classic will find Hardcore difficult etc.

Cannot stand it myself, it just takes to many shots to kill anybody even a direct shot to somebody's head from an m60 will not kill them the first time. There just seems something wrong with that. Once I was trying to take out a sniper and he would just hide after my first hit. Five tries later either he killed me or somebody else did. Also claymores and air strikes sometimes won't completely kill somebody.

Normal Mode = 100hp
Hard Core = 30hp

I just wish there was a command to check ammo reserves. I hate pulling out my M203 only realizing that I've already fired both rounds, running into combat only to run out of ammo, or moving into position to toss a grenade and not having any

Yeah In normal I use the p90 a lot. I can actually run past a claymore before it explodes and the damage doesn't kill me so I can spray whoever is in the room and move on. Can't do that in hard core.

This is just me whining but I swear everyone's healthbar was up for normal mode but mine was still running on hardcore lol

WOW mine too.:eek: I guess that's probably because the people are used to it.

the only normal mode i like is Paintball lol. one shot, one kill. uber cool :p
