Yeah, I cannot wait for it to come out for PC. VC and SA were a blast to play. I even got 100% on SA and 90-something in VC, never found all the unique jumps. I've got 100 gb used up on my games drive already so whats another 18? Assuming I can actually get a hard drive that works for more then a few months....

18GB or more will be common now guys. I am actually disappointed we havent seen any games on multiple DVDs..

I find it odd however that they can compress 18 gigs on a 8 gb disc. Impressive if you ask me.

well an install prgm is always smaller then the full thing, where it needs to spread out to be used. and i bet there is online downloading required lol

LOL you can't imagine how friggin pissed I'd be if I had to download half the game. Granted it's not an apocalypse..... but.. OMFG

They can't ask that of their customers and not everyone does have internet, actually LOL
But yeah, install programs are smaller because they are compressed. Compressing a game to 50% of it's original size is if not unheard of then at the very least impressive.

Does anyone know how to solve the DRUNK CAM problem????????

I've played a bit of VC for the 360 I think or was it on the PS2.. blah anyway I can't say I'm a fan, I just didn't get into it much. The game definitely broke some boundaries with what you could do in an open world environment though. I think that might be the catch for me, I think I like more structured games lol I get to distracted when I can do anything I want and get way of track of the storyline.

18 gigs better mean the game is big and pretty though, I think WoW is up to around 12gigs after all the patches.. I'm not sure but it does take hrs to install even on a decent system, half a day or more if you have to download all the patched off of blizzards slow ass bittorrent service.

Now with the larger game sizes I can see the PS3 have a decent advantage with its 50 gig discs but I wonder how much of a game this size will a PS3 have to install on it's hard drive to play smoothly. I'm not even sure how they will handle a game that was over 40 gigs?? Though I know most of the space taken up on really large games is crap not being used like multiple languages or extra etc but say a game truly used anywhere around 30 or more gigs of actual needed software. Though I'm sure that by the time games that size become common the hardware will have advanced enough to support it without stressing itself.

GTA 4 is def worth the 18 gb, you never really have to load, you are already loaded through out the world so it's nice, and the way you can jump between SP and MP is pretty cool, all and all the game is worth it.

Luckily, I don't think any of you bought it the day it came out, and if you did I feel for you too, but man that was horrible. When they released it out for the PC, you had to have a quad core + super graphics card or it would run horribly, which it did for me. But they have made their patches.

Ps. Evil, that's what happens when your drunk, no fix for it.

If you are talking about on GTA 4, you go into a bar and you come out all fucked up? If so, there is no way to fix it, you have to either drop off the guy you went with, or wait a while.

If it's something else, then let me know.

Its something else.
When i start the game, after about 10, 20 seconds, the cam starts to woble and it keeps getting worse until its impossible to play. it could be that i have a pirate version. ive tried many patches but none worked.
if you can provide any help good, if not no problem. im playing Prototype and Assassins Creed currently.

LOL

CS: Hello Customer Service, How may I help you?

ED: Yes, I have a pirated copy of your game and it stopped working

CS: Oh, I am sorry to hear that sir, just give me your name and address and we will send someone right out to help you.

LOL sorry just the convo that jumped in my head, If you cant trust pirated copies, who can you trust?

on a serious note, sounds like a glitch from the Drunk sections carried over, doubt you will be able to fix it, might have to break down and buy it.

LOL. you might be right but i know for a fact that its a problem thats happened to many people and most have been able to get patches for it. but i seem to not be able to get it to work.
and i respect that you think i should buy it, but i think it should cost less. same with music and movies. if it cost a company, i dont know, lets say a dollar to make a cd, why must i pay 15? and i respect that the artist needs to get his share and the workers, but thats still an overcharging.
i will buy it if i like it and for a fair price. if you wnna pay 40 bucks for a original copy, good for you. im economically challenged. LOL

ps - im not the only one who thinks this way. thats why half the worlds music, movies, and games are pirated.

True buy the RIAA can charge anyone and sue everyone. and they are working with other governments to civially go after money from people in any country where the music is sold.

Of course one could say the cost of software is so high because of all the piracy... Somebody cannot afford a game so they steal it. Price goes up so more people cannot afford the game. So they all steal it. Price goes up yet again to cover the losses. More people cannot afford it so they start stealing it... Endless cycle. Solution: Free games for everybody

I think the best way to fix it would be something like Sven said but mixed with the success of WoW. Make all new game either very cheap or free and since most games are multiplayer now, make it so all games have a very small monthly fee based on what the estimated play time of the game is. So if the company figured they will get 10 months of play from their game byt the average user then they can charge $10 for the software and $3.90 a month to play. They could even do things like dropping the monthly fee costs after you pay for 6 months.

Of course this would really suck for the consumer but it would bite a large portion of pirated copies in the ass while benefiting the company. It would also require people to make personal accounts to play and parents would have a better idea on what their kids are playing if they have to pay monthly credit card fees on them.
I'm sure that Microsoft and Sony could incorporate that into their online services easly enough.

I'm pretty much starting a policy to not pay for single player games anymore. Multiplayer games you pretty much have to pay for if you want to legitimately use them online. I'm tired of buying games that I either never beat and some I never play... Or they don't work or just suck in general. I bought a bunch of games off steam in "package" deals because I wanted one of them and well.... never played the others really. I own bioshock and have yet to play that one too.
