Hacker on SS Server

Unfortunatly I didn't get more screenshots, however he flat out admitted to hacking to everyone on the server. He also said such things as "You can't kick or ban me. I took care of that.", and "I need to increase the ammo count.".

I do have a video which includes the console view of his headshot only rampage if anyone wants me to upload it I can.

Yeah.. I was trying to ban him but he blocked all rcon access even when I changed the password.. the server tech guy has not idea how to stop him either so I just shut down the server for now.. :shakehead: man this guy must be soooo proud of himself.. damn punkbuster..

I'd love to have his guid but that is 32 digits.

I'd love to have his guid but that is 32 digits.
I've seen a lot of people who are divided over whether the guid is the 32 or the 8 digit. I'm a server admin too, and it took me a while to really figure it out. The user's GUID# is the 8 digit one, if you type /pb_plist in console it returns a list of players with their GUIDs (which are 8 digits).
So the 8 digit I gave you (fffaf3da) is the scum's GUID.

Lol thanks Renegade. I was just looking that up and it seems while the rcon "status" gives you a 32 digit key the pb_plist gives you 8 which seems fine for punkbuster bans while the the 32 is used for server bans through the rcon.

I tried the 8 key with pb and it seemed to have gone through.

Ok I found his full GUID and he is now banned by that. Let's hope he doesn't get another GUID lol.

I also banned his IP from our site :p

well i cant understand. since someone restarts his/her modem the ip changes. but how the ban keeps? O.o

I'm hoping the persons ISP gives out static IPs.. though since ALL hackers are shady and dicks I'm sure he is using a proxy to protect his cheating ass.. It's not a big deal anyway if he views our site but since he made me shut down the server for a little while, if he trys to come here I might as well make him change his IP lol.

We're not sure yet how he managed to block all rcon access.

Lol big time.. it happened again a couple nights ago so I'm guessing this rcon flood program is starting to spread among the cheaters..:shakehead:

Even dynamic IPs can be pretty static sometimes. I have comcast and my IP never changes unless I change my router. The DHCP servers remember MAC addresses and will try to give the same address to the same machines/routers. Of course I think DSL is completely different and will give you a new IP address every time.

It's kinda nice, but not really, when hackers are honest about it. Some will lie and try to convince you they are not hacking and others will just make up excuses as to why they need to hack. Although you see excuses more when you are against bots because hacking against bots isn't cheating at all apparently.

If your making life miserable for at least one other innocent person, your not a hacker, your a jerk with too much time on your hands, go do something useful with it then. :P
