CoD 4 server

Hello fellas:

Just wanting some basic information on a cod server I just purchased.
I basically purchased it for me and my son's when we have some free time to bond and play (one in california and the other houston, tx) since they live quite a distance from me.

Well yesterday we were in a game when other players started to join, everything was going well till we notice one spacific player using some kind of cheat with grenades. Now I did kik him and ban him but he just kept coming back, and basically the reason for that we dont have PB installed. I've been breaking my head trying to figure how the hell to install! lol am a construction worker........ when it comes to computers I dont no jack.

Can someone please help me out.... I would highly appreciated

Stock setting bans only GUID numbers, you have to set it to ban by IP also. The problem with banning by IP is how simple it is for people with a proxy address to reset their modem and get a new IP... the GUID is based off of your games key code so if your banned from that you either have to buy a new game to get onto that server or steel another persons key code.. yeah thats been know to happen too..

We've banned someone and had them show up again. It's not common though.

Punk Buster should be installed by the company who owns the gaming server you're renting. There should be the option to turn it on in your server.cfg file in the main folder on the FTP.

If not they should be able to install it for you.

Basically, contact the guys you ordered the server from and ask them to turn it on or at east how to do it yourself, good luck. You could always make it password protected, but then only people you tell the password to can get in.

And you and your kids are welcome to use our server and ventrilo.

I would be happy to apply! but I dunnot want to put all of you in embarresment in clan war lol (still lvl 26 and a noob as some would say lol) reason being is am still new to the game and have more deaths then kills at this time lol..... but will most deffinetly want to join you guys and Also help out in the server department, I know it could be quite expensive.
