We'll it looks like Hand is finally getting himself a PS3 :thumbsup2: He already bought his bluetooth headset for it  lol that means some ||§§|| Playstation Network Co-Op coming very soon!
I figure I better get my ass in gear and order a bluetooth headset for myself or I'll be having to run the the local store and pay twice the price.
I'm sure Hand will give a quick review of the one he got and the great price he found on Buy.com.
I JUST found the one I wanted and got a decent price on Amazon. Not the best price I found but a place I can trust. I never trust the never heard of online stores that have things $30 cheaper than most of the huge companies..
Anyway I grabbed the new Aliph Jawbone II headset in Black .

Jawbone is a really good brand
Plantronics Voyager 520

This is a $100 headset I got for $42 with shipping
So far I like it, works well and is designed to sync to 2 different BT devices at once. One thing I wish it had that my wife's has, is a physical switch that slides forward to turn on and back to shut off. I have to hold the button for a certain amount of time for on and off it is just 1 button which is also a rocker switch.
Other than that one minor concern, I like it and would recommend it, Also the plug comes with a neat cradle attachment, which is just a stand for the plug. It is not as stylish, but still has Noise Canalization.

And now I can be a D-Bag like the rest of the world, O Joy. My reasoning was my state has the Headset law now, so i kinda need it.

I don't have a PS3 nor do I have HDMI but I connected my Playstation and PS2 to my stereo like a CD player or w/e, I'm sure the PS3 is no different? So when I played Socom and F1 online the only sound to my headset was com, yes.

Dr H, please let me know you personal opinion on it, I was thinking of getting one, but I saw a lot of mixed reviews on it so was thinking of getting the Jawbone 1 (which had more consistent rave reviews)

From what I have heard, the Jawbone II is supposed to make up for all of the failings of the first model, but we will see in the much anticipated episode, "Dr.H Reviews a Headset".
Catch it here, same bat time, same bat station.

Once I get to give it a try I will give a short review of what I think of it's sound. I could hook it up to my cell phone.. maybe lol.
So Far:
It's a real breeze to install onto the PS3. It starts off in pairing mode the first time so you set the PS3 to search which finds the Jawbone instantly then enter code 0000 and thats it.
It has a razer thin LED on the side that you can see is red while charging and turns white when done.
It comes with two sizes of real leather ear loops and two slimline rubber ear loops. All are stainless steel inside.
There are three different sized soft rubber ear buds.
It has a light but good fit that stays in place with the medium loop and bud that are on it stock. It took me a second to realize the two buttons are part of the metal face itself lol. The talk/on button is on the face by the LED while the NoiseAssassin button it on the back edge near the ear bud. They are easy to use once you realize that and give different audible tones for each use.
The talk button turns it on and off, answers, call waiting switches and turns the LED on and off.
The NoiseAssassin button turns the NoiseAssassin feature on and off, rejects calls, changes volume, initiates voice dialing, and redials last number.

$400? these are just cell phone single ear Bluetooth headsets that we are using for the PS3 they average between $25 and $120 mostly.

Hand the Voice Activity Sensor (VAC) is a soft tiny silicone and it's barely noticeable. Actually it also seems to help keep the headset from swiveling any in your ear so that's cool.
Another neat thing is the charger, it has two really small but strong magnets in it that the headset snaps to when charging. No need to every worry about breaking any tabs or needing to push any release buttons. ;)
Just tested it with Hand over my cell phone. It sounds like I'm on my cell so it's as clear or clearer than the nice Motorola my wife has.
So we figured we would test out the NoiseAssassin feature. I stood right in front of the loud windy ac window unit and Hand said it sounds normal so I turned it off and he said it sounded like I was in a wind tunnel so as soon as I clicked it back on he said all noise was just gone!! Silent other than my voice :thumbsup2:. This thing rocks! The only downside is the 4hr talk time might cut it close for some long games but it only takes 35min to get to 80% charge.

To comment on his call the Noise Assasin thing was really cool. The wind noise from the AC unit was really loud and sounded like one of those old cellphones when you knew the person just walked outside on a windy day because that was all that you heard, then he hit the switch and I couldn not hear any backround noise, even when he spoke. Very cool, and I would say if you want a BT Headset and can afford it, and of course plan on using it enough. That one is the way to go.
So Eraser as the person on the listening end from the phone I would recommend it.

you can always get a regular BT headset and a USB BT dongle for the PC, just rememebr that if you want stereo, youll need to get the wrap arounds, not just a regular one ear phone one.
