I'm sure most of your info on the U.S. is hearsay or gossip and such giving you little actual knowledge of the Country.. Where the heck did you hear that the USA was dangerous?? That's pretty much nonsense. I would say we are one of the safest countries in the world. I'm not even going to compare us to Eastern Europe, Africa, South America, the Middle East and parts of Asia...

As far as technology there are many parts of Asia and Northern Europe that are ahead of us.

Calling our country full of thieves just shows that certain people are just following the "America Sucks" theme that seems so popular these days and they A) don't know what the heck their talking about or B) are just upset that their country sucks so much.

The United States is a very good place to live but not the only place I would choose if I was to move. Though the list of Countries I would live in seems to be getting smaller all the time.

Lol every government in every country is corrupt in some form or another, that is just how things have always been.

While I also wish gas prices were lower, we are a lot lower than most countries. Our prices at least show the world that we DO NOT start wars for oil and even if we are the controlling military force in an oil rich area we have to buy it the same as everyone else.

I don't know where you get your facts from bud, but half of them are falsehoods. You can smoke here (but why you'd want to kill yourself with "cancer sticks" is beyond me). The law is that you have be 18 to buy cigs. 21 to buy alcohol. Many states are outlawing smoking in public places (i.e. restaurants, bars, places of employment).

We do have quite a variety of tv shows to chose from. If you don't like what you see on tv, it's quite simple. We either turn it off or switch to a different channel. All the hype about tv violence linked with street violence is a load of bull shit.

Before you go around making accusations, perhaps you should try to do some research and not just rely on hearsay or generalizations.

The hate parents, school, the police, homework, laws, and anyone older than them that tries to tell them what to do. That's just the way it is. IMO when you're 14 you have no idea what it means to be an American yet.

America is an excellent country. It is a strong world power. Which of course is not easy. You either stick up for the little guy and get called a bully who sticks his nose in other countries business to stop horrible otrosities from happenig, or we don't do anything, wait for the UN which is basically us, and when they do nothing WE are called weak and whimppy for not protecting the small guy getting slaughtered and hacked away by these armies that are run by power hungry psycho's who just kill anyone who does not see things there way, or just live in the wrong section.

OK I could go n for a while. To keep this simple I will just say, that if you watch the new Rambo movie (yea I know just trust me) What happens in that movie truely happens everyday on this planet, and many believe that if you have the power to stop it you should.

Now this leads to many people HATING the US, WHich BTW is by no means a perfect country, but unlike every other country the US was founded on the idea that people are free, and was set up to be an ever changing government hat has worked out so well, that many other contries have adpoted the basis of what we now call Democracy. Yes like every other country the US had slaves and women couldnt vote, but we were the first to change an entire countries way of government just to allow everyone to be treated equally.

We do have many a corrupt person in high places, but so does every government in any part of the world. The great thing about the US is that we find out the problems easier, and when we do our press is free to let everyone (IE the world) know about it which makes sure less people will think about fucking around. So in a wa we probably have less corruption than other countries because of the chance that someone would get caught and called out on world news as opposed to some random country in the middle of Europe.

But that is just my opinion. I could be wrong.


Oh, and America has some of the cheapest gas on the planet outside of the middleeast, always has.

Well Asia is the leader in computer technology, not usa. USA is the leader in the space technology and military technology. I am Canadian and only know about the USA from the CNN and discovery channels. (TV)
The price of gas is higher in Canada. The cost of food, beer, clothes, cars, ect. is higher in Canada. I live along the border of us and Canada and it pays to buy my gas, food and kids clothes down in the USA. After we pay tariff (duty) it is still cheaper.

I'm sure some of the misunderstanding of your comments can be derived from the fact that you are still learning the English language and that is perfectly understandable.

As to the news and such that you say are saying things bad about the U.S., some times that can be because while journalism is suppose to be non biased.. :dry: most of the time they sway stories in the direction of their own agendas.
It would help a lot if you could give some links etc to any of these articles/reports you are referring to that way we can tell you the reasons behind them or if they are just propaganda bull :icon_censored:.

I would not say that American is "dangerous" , but it defenitely has a higher crimate rate (particularly in murder, rape) then say Canada, or the UK. I live in America and will support it , but I don't think it's the best place in the world to live with the nicest people. I also agree that every governtment is corrupt and every country has it's pros and cons. I feel America comes under a lot of scrutiny because we are the super power of the world and our influence spreads over the world. Every wants to knock down the big dog a notch and watch and judge every little thing he does and ultimately see him fail. (Brittney Spears anyone?) Americans are generally thought of as fat, lazy, arrogant and uneducated by a lot of outside countries, but it is also heralded as the land of opportunity that a lot of other counties do not afford their citizens. Having said that, If I could take all my friends and family with me, (and my nice cushy job) I would probably move to Canada.

Your petrol and desiel prices are amazingly better than ours are over here, or at least it was last time I was in New York. (Our cheapest petrol prices atm are £1.18 per litre).

As with the president thing, I would say the devil know you is the better than the devil you dont.

America isnt necessarily a dangerous place, I wouldnt say it was the safest of safe places to be. You just need to keep in mind because they're on a much larger scale of cause there will be more instances of crime than here in England.

Just like alot of the other guys here, I would probably move to Canada (Or New Zealand). But thats because Im getting fed up of our grotty weather that rarely changes.

And Hand I wouldn't consider America as a "scape-goat", but just like Marilyn Manson you guys do seem to be able to take all the shit (And then retaliated with putting troops into the country that was being the bastard).

well i visited america this year and i found it a very safe place the people were exceptionally friendly and you never felt like there were bombs about to go off or you gonna get jumped. also if americans think their gass is high, they aint seen australia's yet =P. back to the point Americans are friendly people who were always willing to help you out and make you feel welcomed. :D
