Alright, we got a LOT done tonight. New Ventrilo server up (Thank you Zombie). Saved the CoD4 server with our HC memebrs buying slots (thank you all), So we now have MORE good admins for CoD4 server and Ventrilo. And we had some good games a some new members that are fun to play with and talk to. Welcome all. I am glad to have everything functioning so well and have so many new quality members to add to the excellent members I already get to play with. Thanks all and I will see you all tomorrow night.

Oh yea, and I had a good match :D AND!!!!, this pic is from my photo album on on our site here. Actually I was sniping with my G3 and our team was really good at supporting each other.
4 of my deaths were from helicopters and 2 were from respawning out in the open. I wish we had more custom classes that way I could have one sniper class with a rpg instead of claymores for that map.

I camped in the spot with the mounted MG on the bottom floor which only has two entrances. My team kept spawning near one entrance to keep it covered and I shot at traffic through the other entrance and the windows. Helicopters and AS did the rest.

I just got lucky that everyone felt too lazy to come and kill me.

Probably my best game, not my best score though, was when I dropped a nuke on the enemy team when they were winning. The final score was 6200 - 7400. I was 41 - 9. I managed a to get the screen shot but it got corrupted and xfire won't upload it.

Even with the bad connections the servers were not jittery. I've had decent connections that jitter all over the place. The only host I had a problem with was that duel shotgun guy on derailed. He was actually good enough to take advantage of his host advantage and I couldn't beat him in a head to head shotgun duel because I would have had to been half a second faster then him every time.

Yeah that was the time you were host, then the game dropped you, then made hand host, then he left and soon followed by DrH. That team really gave us a beating on wasteland so I needed to teach them a lesson on real sniping.

I have no problem feeling a bit proud when I get a decent score since I'm usually all over the place.

After looking at your killcam it's plan to see that it's your PC that's holding you back now. It's not as bad as when you had your old video card but with the new hosted system of MW2, you run into problems where the other players are literally a second ahead of you. You can knife or shoot them but if they are fast enough they will get the kill even if you should have.


Here's one of mine from last night, let's note that I believe String got a 20-0 score one round lol.

I think it's a couple factors. The high end players on our team eat up the scores pretty fast and also when we run against good teams they tend to level things out a lot.

Of course I was playing in Mercenary mode which isn't nearly as fun as playing with friends.

I figured out my problem.
I thought it was my crappy computer, then I figured I just totally sucked out loud.
NOW I know it is YOU GUYS that make me play bad.

I hoped on for a quick game, got onto a random Team Deathmatch Express game and THIS happened... Damn you all.


The problem you face is the same problem I have with MW2. With match making the game will try and "balance" the teams. And by doing this it takes the WORST players and sticks them on my team. I always get stuck with the guy with the > -10 spread. So I have to work all that much harder to win. I've lost games with a 20 point spread and it kinda makes me unhappy. What matchmaking will do if there is any slots left on our team it will put the absolute WORST player on our team to try and balance the awesome that is me or string. The game is also pretty random. I've had games where there is NOBODY good enough to counter me so I end up with nothing but good games because there is nobody retarded enough or they all are to balance my killing sprees. I still with there was a way other then FFA to have random teams because even MercDM will match make and give me retards

Yeah what will happen is it's usually me, sven, and one or two other SS members. So we potentially have 3 slots open for 'balancing'.

Matching making doesn't take deaths/positives/negatives into account. All it does is take the lowest scores and pairs it with us.

This may make sense at first but it's really hard to play well without support. This doesn't mean everyone on the team has to have a positive score. It can be something as simple as keeping enemies pinned on a certain route or reversely keeping snipers/campers distracted.

What really slows a team down are people camping corners or a door just waiting for a random enemy to show up. Another thing I hate is when a sniper's got an area down and team mates keep rushing it like they can force him to run out of ammo.

I hope to see more people post some goos scores on this soon, I know some of you are use to awesom scores, but some (like me) are very surprised withour one good game a night.

Surprisingly not, or at least I cannot remember if they did or not, they took their beating and they enjoyed it. People will get a lot more pissed off if you use a gunner or AC130 because on that map you end up "spawn camping" and the nuke also pisses people off. If a pavelow kills you, it's your fault, if the chopper gunner kills you, it's the pilots fault. So by not using either of those I probably ended up with more points and not as many angry people.

Okay so I was trying all morning to get a nuke and I just couldn't do it. I was playing domination both ground war and normal, that's usually the best way to get a nuke. Anyway my final game I must have gotten harriers 4 times before finally getting a gunner. I was running my sniper class but kept getting stabbed in the ass or over run. When I finally got my gunner I didn't get many kills with it. When I left my gunner I found that my position was about to be over run. I pulled out my AA-12 and proceeded to mow down wave after wave of enemies as they tried to enter the hanger with the AA-missiles (quarry) They first stunned me and I thought I had it but I got two guys as they tried to over take me, one of which was bunny hopping. I would hide behind the stack of pallets as they flashed, stunned, and naded me, and just rape them as they entered with my AA-12. By the time I got the nuke we had just lost all the positions but had 194 points. While all this was happening I only saw one team mate who killed three of them with an RPG before dieing himself. Oh and I got the bunny hopper at least 3 or 4 times as he tried to hop past my wall of buck shot.

You can see my 2800 I got for that map, had about 22 kills total with maybe 2-3 deaths (I think kills are 50pts in Sabotage). I used my "Bastard" Class, Soon to be re-named the Demolitions. This is a One Man Army Class with a tube and claymores. I used my claymores and M203 to defend our bombsite on more then one occasion. After I saw that our team was making a good push for the enemy bomb site I switched over to Offensive. I planted a claymore to watch my back as I pushed in. Got a predator missile, Harriers... Then the enemy team picked up the bomb. The carrier proceeded to run past my hiding spot as I called in my harriers, ran right past my claymore and got blown up by my M203 while slowed down by the claymore shot in his ass. I ran over Grabbed the Bomb, Changed to my Commando class, called in my Pavelow, and charged down the bomb site. Ran past/through two guys messing with my air support, stabbed another guy, and ran to the bomb site as my team was arriving at it from the other side. Planted the bomb, and BOOM

I can murder people all day and it's nothing, but if I do well in an objective match, that really get's the adrenaline flowing.

Playing as "Grimace" trying to get nukes on Afghan with no luck. I used my commando class = marathon/lightweight/scrambler(for challenges) with akimbo 1887s and an MP5k. It was still fun.

So I decided to play a few more rounds after everybody else left, tried my luck with FFA and had no luck. Ended up doing not bad but on the worst team and then the lobby disconnected. The next lobby I get into loads up quarry. I got my harriers killing knife monkeys running at me, then I get my gunner, I pick a hiding spot. but find there are two guys near by. I killed one and emptied my scar. I fumbled for my secondary weapon but must have double tapped the key because all I did was end up with an empty scar and bullets flying my way. I re-spawn and quickly earn a new harrier, I hid behind the one van, broke out the window and shot the knife monkeys in the face as they tried to run around and get me. after getting another chopper I found a nice place to hide and called it in, and proceed to rape with it, since they all have tac knives nobody even attempts to shoot it down. As soon as it flys away I call in my next gunner and proceed with the hurt. All in all I would like to have gotten a nuke to end this damn nuclear dry spell I've been having but it was a good laugh and a great score to end the game with sequential choppers.
