I am watching them both at work as i type LOL (Wii Music is on, Meh)
Nintendo basically did not have much today. They showed a new little speaker microphone made for a whole room of people to talk to others. You put it over your TV.

A few neat games, CoD World at War, RayMan,

Wii Motion Plus sticks on the back of the Mote and makes it much more sensitive to all types of hand and wrist movements. WiiPlay Resort was kind of cool, you can actually fight with swords and looks really responsive with the motion plus.

Best game they showed though was the Star Wars Clone Wars LIGHT SABER FIGHTING GAME!!!!

It LOOKS neat, and you actually use the WiiMote as a LIGHTSABER!!!!! but then they made Red Steel look like a good sword fighting game as well. Hopefully the Motion Plus will actually make them responsive enough to be a fun sword fighting game.

Ill let you guys know what I think of Sony if I am able to see any of it.

Lol I would say I've been a Sony fanboy for years, they've never done me wrong ;).
I've owned most of the systems from the other companies and have the current 360 which I use for the games specific to it but I find the PS3 much more flexible with it's blu-ray player, built in wi-fi and the fact I can use any cables I want with it... I bought the 360 three months before it had HDMI...

While the consoles are great I'm still a PC guy first and foremost and I care more about what games will port to the pc than what will be on the consoles.
I do enjoy all the free fun stuff sony tosses onto the PS3 upgrades now and then.

From the looks of Sales Xbox 360 Wins!! Wii and PS3 cant keep up. DId any one see the new software comming for the 360? It looks Great! Looks like a lot of new games will be out and they look great! The Console looks as if it will soon take over. I will play my PC games but I wonder what the future will bring.

Lol Microsoft and the Xbox will be the only console to survive. The rest of the companies don't realize that PCs will always be the dominate force on the market, its been proven

you guys should pay attention, 360 numbers were only in America LOL all numbers can be warped to look like how you want. Wii dominates all, PS3 dominate Europe, Microsoft dominates US, LOL

If you take into account the 1 year jump 360 had the ps3 is not very far behind.
In terms of worldwide sales Sony is doing good and moving up. This year the PS3 has passed the total number of 360's sold in Europe and was ahead in Japan since shortly after it came out. Some estimated that the PS3 could outsell the 360 in America in 2009. A lot depends on this fall season.

In game titles then the 360 does have the PS3 beat, lol they had a bunch of games before the PS3 even came out and when the PS3 did come out it had hardly any for the first year..

Now this is just current Gen, if you want to talk Sony vs Ms total Console gaming and add in the continued PSP and PS2 sales.. well that's a different game all together.

MS talks about how the 360 "will outsell the PS3 this generation" Lol it would be nice if they told us when the cut off date for "this generation" is because as things look the PS3 is built to outlast the 360 so if MS makes a new system when the PS3 is still going strong will they consider "this generation" over?


Looks like I'll be downloading a HD movie on the PS3 tonight lol the 360's will have to wait till this winter to get NetFlix. I don't use NetFlix so my 360 won't be getting any use as a movie system.

Of course who "wins" the console war this generation is kind of pointless. None of the systems are going to disappear because they are a few million units behind the other in sales.
We all win and loose from it. It will drive down prices and push the companies to constantly be coming out with new and great stuff. But if you can not afford both systems you loose out in games as the companies pay for exclusivity..

In the end we all come back to the PC lol.

Oh please. For me to even bother with Wii Nintendo will have to make something other than Zelda, Super Mario and Pokemon.. It's getting old and I never even liked either of them..

As for computers.. bugs.. need I say more? :p :(
I never liked Microsoft, they tend to think about $ more than gamers. And much more like that than other companies. They release their stuff too soon, too little testing (or their testers should be fired) and their support is just support by name..

Thats my views on the industry anyways..

Maybe I'll get a PS3 40GB when GT5 is released in Europe. I'll have that and my PC :)

Well thanks, I didn't know that. I'm planning on swapping out the drive for a bigger one anyhow.. Maybe I need to re-assess my plans again-again? By this rate I'll own a PS3 when the PS24 is released :p

One thing Sony jsut did today was allow you to link all PS IDs to the PSN (PlayStation Network) So even though I dont have one yet I linked my underground ID to the PSN and I THINK I just registered Hand_O_Death so no one else can take it until then. We will see.

Just checked out the PS3 video download section. WOW is all I can say, hundreds of Movies and TV shows even anime... Lol I'll never have to rent a movie from Comcast again!
