WHEEL OF EVL!!!! you know I hate how hard that particular one is to navigate and all. But if you want to set up a flash page that is properly done for a different way for people to navigate our interwebpages, that is fine, we can add a link on the homepage and people can use it if they wish. I am more into function then presentation, but respect that others may feel diffrently.

I always thought it was a basic level flash and out of style. If it was a really well done flash site it would be cool but the better the flash the longer the load times not to mention they are a real pain to keep up to date.
A well done flash homepage is good for advertisement but I have a feeling members will visit it once, bookmark the forum and never go to the flash again...

I liked the flash site, I did post an idea on the other forums but the other forum as been shut down and I cant remember where the heck I saved the file.

But having said that, I also like the portal that this website is using. Though I really dislike the theme and hate how people can have avatars that stretch out across half the forum. Im all for grey, red and black, but the shades used here arent very good.

I know I'm more than willing to take good design suggestions that I can run by the HC guys. ;)

To get the site up and running we picked this theme rather than using the default skin. We tried to pick the one that was closest in resembling what we needed then I modified a lot of the graphics and design to make it more functional for us, including adding the main module page.
I know the theme is highly military which I'm sure conflicts with the more fantasy based art preferred by a lot of our WoW members. I would like to find a way in the future to blend the two themes together without making it look messy.

When you say "avatars" do you mean the avatars or signatures? The avatars are currently capped at 300pix so that is not coming close to half of a decent sized monitor. Does everyone have a preferred size for avatars?

For forum colors you can make some suggestions in HTML hexadecimal and we can give them a try and see if they tweak the forum better.

Like I said I'm flexible and willing to try things to make the site better. But I have to run most things by the HC first since we can not make changes that might please a few but upset more.

Flash is nice, until it starts to cause problems. Some flash based sites I've been to are really lame but if you think you can do this without making visitors crazy then go for it :)
