I'm actually considering buying Metro 2033 instead of BC2. I know it's not multiplayer but it was made for the PC and ported over to the 360! That in itself is a big plus in my book these days.

It takes place in post nuclear Russian subways and tunnels, think STALKER meets BioShock.

It's based off of a book that will be coming out in English this spring and while I hear it doesn't do the best job of telling the story it's background and graphics cover for any game play issues.

The only downside I see to this game is the fact I hear it's only 8hrs. So I'm hoping it will be like HalfLife2 but with more timely episodes.

Well Steam was having a 50% off sale on Metro 2033 and Fallout 3 so I was going back and forth on which to buy. Dark, scary and immersion of Metro 2033 or the open world rpg style of Fallout 3.

I decided that I wasn't in the mood right now for a leveling shooter like Fallout 3 where I have to decide where to spend level points on what skills... blah blah blah. Plus while the shoot assist system looks kinda neat when body parts blow up in slow motion but gaining points and having to pause to pick which parts to shoot and what the chance of hit vs damage is looks a bit tiresome.

I went with Metro 2033 since I like dark games where stealth can be important. I'll let you guys know what I think when I get into the game some. But for now while it's downloading I'm going to go download the book on my wifes Kindle and see if reading the story first will make the game more interesting or less.

You already bought BC2, you bought it the same time as me for $20

So how are you liking it? I got frustrated with the beasts that like to clip through you when they attack so I have not played it up in a while.

Yeah I'd say it does get annoying when the monsters go through you and you keep having to turn around to shoot them only to be hit in the back the other way again. Also when they glitch into the actual walls as you are trying to kill them... engine annoyances but overall the game is decent enough.

It's kinda FEAR meets Stalker. Ammo is a bit of an issue since I wish I had more of it to buy the nice guns or armor, I always seem to have tons for the weapons I'm not using..
Also the Mask filters are annoying.. you go from green to red pretty fast and then adding a filter only gives me an extra 5 min it seems while it should bring me back up to green. I blow through tons of filters when outside, I'm starting to wonder if it's suppose to be like that?

Not all the filters are new filters and there fore will take you up to green, it's kind of a gamble. As for ammo I usually do rather well with my AK47 and just shoot things in the face. There was one time I had to hide in a hole to avoid being killed by 5 or 6 beast things though.
