The Good:
So far the story line seems pretty epic.
The part that disturbed people actually took me a second breath. Before I moved on... Wow Sven does have a soul
Omg a grenade just rolled down a hill and killed me, sucks but it's awesome.
The blood effects are really sweet. pools of the stuff
Got to kill a guy raiding the fridge of some house.
You actually leave footprints in snow

The Bad:
You don't know how important the lean function is until it's gone... I miss you lean control you were good to us
Akimbo is more retarded then I thought it would be. You have to alternate left and right mouse buttons to fire their respective guns and you magically reload one gun by dropping it off the screen. So ultimately you can never stop shooting as long as you don't run out of ammo
Snipers scoops always glint as before they shoot at you, a bit unrealistic
Grenades now have tracers. I guess this is good but still unrealistic to the max...
The game auto check pointed when I was stuck... so I... well I'm can't jump crouch or move...

All in all, single player is epic. Like watching a good movie that you get to play... It feels very much like COD4, there are some annoying bit's to get past but it doesn't have the endless spawning enemies like MW1 did. I'll post more after I try spec ops and multiplayer...

I got it, thanks... Yeah something got messed up, I was typing bits as I played and when I hit post it told me I wasn't logged in. I have had login problems with this computer... Anyway I meant MW2. Oh and I was lucky I didn't lose the entire post :happy:

I watched a duel wield shotty video just now... they also have duel p90's and Eagles?? All I can say is WTF.. They should remove ALL accuracy when doing that but no I see guys owning with it. Also the blood splatter is annoying looking. If you have enough blood flying off of you to coat your face in it you should be dead. I always took the shot but get better thing in CoD4 as getting hit in body armor and taking the wind out of you but..

as far as I know you can only duel secondary weapons such as pistols, machine pistols and the one shotgun. I'll update as I try new things. Had a bit of a run with spec ops and all I can say is, I want a partner... I'm crazy and have been jumping strait into veteran mode, and alone makes it 200% harder. One death and you are fucked. With a partner there is a chance to be revived.

I loaded it up. I cannot even change my name, or at least figure out how to change my name, and then I try to join a game, and Hard core team death match is locked until level 19. Fuck you IWnet, fuck you play-lists and fuck you IW

Multi player second impression... matchmaking-play-lists-IWnet-no dedi servers suck.

I joined a lobby and it had a 30 second intermission... So no getting right into the game like they advertised. Left that lobby joined the next game. It launched right away. My ping said it was fine but every 5 steps I would feel like I was running strait into a wall. Every 5 steps I would take one step back... fucking un-playable.

3rd times the charm I guess... I happened to find myself a playable server. Didn't really notice any lag that time. Did fairly well considering I don't know any of the maps or the fact I am missing my lean commands... So far I've been paired with all different ranks. I guess the more I play the more I'll be matched with. There is so much junk in this game. So many things to unlock and there is a lot of ridiculousness.. Like being able to duel wield p90s. There is no community though. Just a bunch of random faces, hell I never even got to pick my own team. I could see some more of the clan enjoying it (not buzzard of course because he is to far out in the boonies to get a decent connection to even a dedicated server.)... I was going somewhere with this but I lost it... well I am sleep deprived and only got a bit of a chance to play MP over my lunch break, back to work I go. I'll report more later.

Oh if any of you were on the fence about it, and you have the cash to spare I would say give it a shot.

Okay, I figured out how to change my name, you have to go into your steam settings to do so... and the game is very picky about long names so it'll get all messed up... We need a shorter tag, I may have to switch to |SS| Like pugilist has been doing. Or stick to ||SS||SvenSlyer... It is annoying that I have to change my full title in steam to suit this game...

Oh and a little more thought on it, I should hold of any recommendations regarding multiplayer for now. I should wait to see if it has any longevity... I got bored of W@W pretty quickly so this might fall in suit.

Oh and this game was supposed to have clan support and I see no such thing. But all invites are handled through steam friends... oh and it seems like private is basically the same as a dedicated server with the acceptation of the public players can't join.

Yeah I would look forward to putting in some spec ops games with you if/when you decide to get it.

And I've yet to fight any riot shields in PM but they were more then annoying in SP... Kind of funny that they put in a riot shield that could make players more tactical and then they remove all the tactical feel of the game, no leaning and the spray and pray akimbo does this...

Leveled up to get hard core. It's a disappointment like everything else. Re-spawn delays and friendly fire are mandatory... There is no way to play MW2 the way we like without hosting a private server... and well there are not enough of us to do that well even in COD4...

Also the spawn logics are no better then COD4, and the maps are way to big for the player size and there are 15 bagillion holes to hide in so you just get slaughtered from every direction at once... I've only managed one 11 kill streak and it was sadly without my ac130 equipped...

Host migration is fucking annoying, even worse when it looses a good connection for a bad one... oh you liked having no lag, to bad! I guess no host migration would be worse if they were using this system but EVERYTHING I have seen in this game = IWnet < Dedicated servers....

I think I figured out my "running into wall issue" I think to compensate for lag and to stop players from teleporting it doesn't let you run when it's laggy

Well no more bad news that isn't new. Matchmaking is still annoying. Put me on the loosing team for the entirety of my playing last night. Host migration is slow and annoying. Map changes are slower, mandatory 30 second intermissions are annoying unless you are actually making changes... Oh wait that is bad news...

Anyway

Kill-streak rewards are so much better then the old 3=uav 4=air-strike 5=helicopter. Just the fact that you no longer get "airstrike not available"

There are now three versions of the airstrike.
Precision air-strike. Just like the old but you choose the direction.
Stealth bomber. Choose the direction and a stealth bomber invisible to radar drops a shit ton of bomblets as it flys by
Harrier strike. My personal favorite. An air-strike like the old one but the last plane hangs around the drop zone and cleans up with a machine gun. You don't chose the direction of attack so it's a little faster to place.

Death-streaks are nice too. If you die a bunch you don't lose your death streak just because you get one kill.

The longer I play the more I unlock the items I want the more I like the game. I'm only level 26 right now and have a long way to go.

OH spawns are still broken

I'm going to rate it a 7/10 right now. Would easily give it a 9/10 with dedicated servers but as far as fun and playability go, there's something for everybody.

Had some fun playing with the riot shield... it's a lot easier to die with it then I first imagined. You move turn at all and your sides are exposed. I was playing demolition and I single handedly stopped the enemy from getting through a narrow passage to our bomb site. You don't get many kills but you get a bunch of assists and beating people to death with the shield is so much fun. Sadly the second map nobody used the advantage my shield would give them... I had 4 enemies staring dumbly at me and tossing grenades at me and I couldn't do anything. If one of my team were to walk in he would of had 4 guys with their thumbs up their asses to kill... well the eventually charged me, and I died... go figure
